How do I order a bin?

It’s easy! Click on the tab ‘Order A Bin’ and choose the size of bin that best fits your needs. Pick a convenient delivery time and then provide the contact information. Your bin may be delivered as soon as the next day! You may also call us directly at 709-226-0001.

What items are prohibited to be placed in a bin?
Hazardous waste, dirt, industrial waste, chemical products, oil filters, herbicides & pesticides, radioactive material, solvents, paint (except completely dried latex paint cans – no liquids), other flammable liquids, aerosol cans, propane tanks, motor oil, transmission oil/lubricating/hydraulic oil/oil filters, contaminated oils(mixed with solvents, gasoline, etc.), antifreeze, appliances, petroleum-contaminated soil/lead paint chips, tires, batteries, computers, monitors, televisions, microwaves, fluorescent tubes, railroad ties, medical waste, asbestos, animals, barrels, all liquids. Please contact a Hickey Waste Systems representative if you have any questions or if you are unsure about any items.
Do you recycle?
Yes! Once unloaded, the materials are sorted and recycled as required.
How long is the rental period?
The rental period is for 7 days. If you need it for more than 7 days additional charges may apply. Please contact us at 709-226-0001 for further information.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes! The weight of the waste materials placed in the bin may not exceed 8 tonnes or 8000 kgs. Heavy materials such as concrete, dirt, brick, rock, sand, asphalt and sod must not fill the bin more than 24 inches up from the bottom. Heavy and/or overloaded bins pose serious safety concerns. You may put lighter debris on top of the heavy materials up to the top rail as long as the net weight of your waste does not exceed 8 tonnes. Extra charges will apply for overloaded bins.
Can I fill my bin to the top?
Waste debris may be loaded to the top rail of the container (water level). Debris may NOT be loaded above the top or sides of the container. Overloaded and/or overflowing bins are a safety concern. Safety is our main concern when loading and hauling your bin. Heavy materials such as concrete, dirt, brick, rock, sand, asphalt and sod must not fill the bin more than 24 inches up from the bottom.
Do I need to be at the location when the bin is delivered?
No. Just describe where you want your bin placed in the delivery instructions section of the online order form and we will make sure it is dropped in the proper location.
Can I move my bin?
No! We will do our best to place your bin in a convenient spot as per your delivery instructions, but once we have placed the bin you may not move it. If you need the bin moved you can request a relocation of the bin, however, there will be an additional charge as stated in the contract terms.
Where can you place my bin when delivered?
We can place the bin wherever you need it! When placing your order, fill out the delivery instructions section with as much detail as possible. We will do our best to place your bin in a convenient spot as per your delivery instructions. If you choose to have the truck drive on your driveway for closer placement, we simply require you to sign a damage waiver.
When will you pick up my bin?
We will pickup your bin anytime within the 7 day rental period. When the job’s done. please give us a call to schedule a convenient pick-up date. Once you call for a pick-up. we will be there within 24 hours of your call.
